Freya the Husky - Dog Photography in Saratoga NY
Freya’s dog photography session was done on a beautiful fall day as part of our Fall Mini sessions. We held her session at the Galway Nature Preserve in Galway, NY.
Freya was a beautiful older lady who absolutely loved exploring the environment. She had the most striking eyes of any dog i’ve seen. Her happy go lucky personality was evident in the way she wagged her tail the entire time. I could see the strong bond with her owners as she kept a close eye on them no matter where we went.
She did a fabulous job from start to finish and we were able to capture some beautiful photographs. Here are a few.
After the session, I headed home to work up the final gallery and when Freya’s owners came to the viewing session, they were in awe! It took some time to narrow down to the final selections. Heather and Chris couldn't choose just one image and ended up selecting multiple pieces. There was only a week or two to wait until the order was delivered.

This shoot was a special one, none of us knew it at the time but Freya’s health was failing. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge not long after our session. I’ve heard from her owners since then and I know how precious these photographs are to them. It brings a smile to my face and a tear to my eye knowing that I could help keep Freya with them forever.
