Holiday Mini Sessions - Pet Photography in Saratoga NY

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Pet portrait photography at Christmas time is simply magical.

Our annual holiday mini sessions are always a fun experience for owner and pet alike. Not to mention they are one of my favorite sessions.

Mini sessions operate on a little bit of a different scale than our full pet portrait session. Theses sessions are typically held in studio with one or two lights and a holiday or winter themed backdrop. The mini session is a fifteen minute session for one pet and the final images are provided in an online gallery. One high resolution digital image is included in the cost of the session.

Pet owners often worry about their furry friend being afraid of the light or not “acting” in a certain way. We take great care to make sure all pets are comfortable in front of the flash prior to starting the session and we let your pet just “be.” The best images are not forced, allowing your furry friend to be themselves results in the best photographs.

After your session it is only a few short weeks until your images are ready. They make for the perfect holiday card to share with family and friends. Of course, there is always the option to purchase any piece of artwork with photographs from your session. Not only is it a great time for me as a photographer, clients also love the process. Here is what one satisfied customer had to say:

I gave Melanie the nearly impossible task of trying to photograph my two crazy dogs at the same time. Their ability to hold still is minimal. Because of this, I was sure the photos, like others by different photographers, would be mediocre at best. Boy, was I wrong! In a very short time Melanie got multiple shots of my dogs looking adorable and really showing off their individual personalities. The photos are beautifully focused and completely delightful. I asked for a small adjustment to one photo which was done quickly and well. Additionally, Melanie was very patient with me and my poor computer skills. I hope to book a full session with her in the future.
